Privacy Policy

This page explains what New-Orleans.online collects and why. The site is an independent travel guide. It is not the city of New Orleans.

Operator: Twig Media, Sweden. Contact: the form on Inquire. Last updated: 12 September 2026.

What we collect

If you write via Inquire we receive the name, email address, subject, message, and any URL you include. That mail is delivered to an inbox on our business domain. We use it to answer you — a correction, a question, or an inquiry about the domain. We do not sell that list.

The web server and the host, Oderland, log technical data in the ordinary way: IP address, browser, time, and the page requested. That is for security and for keeping the site up. We do not use it to build a marketing profile.

We do not ask you to create an account. We do not want payment-card numbers. Bookings happen on the hotel or rental site you choose.

Cookies and similar tools

The site itself sets only what WordPress and the host need to run the page (for example a cookie that remembers a cookie choice, if we show a banner).

If you click an affiliate link to a hotel or rental partner (including Expedia Group brands such as Expedia and Hotels.com), that partner may set its own cookies so a booking can be attributed. Their privacy policy applies from the moment you leave this site. We do not see your reservation details.

Fonts on this site may be loaded from Google Fonts. That request can expose your IP address to Google.

We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. IP addresses are anonymized. You can refuse non-essential cookies in the banner if we display one.

Legal basis (EEA and UK visitors)

Answering a message you sent us is a contract-like request you initiated, or our legitimate interest in running a small editorial site. Server logs are a legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. Affiliate and analytics cookies, if any, need your consent where the law requires it.

If you are in the EEA or the UK you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete a message that is no longer needed. Use Inquire and choose Correction or Other. We may need to keep a mail if a legal claim is open.

United States visitors

We do not sell personal information as that phrase is used in California law. Affiliate clicks are not a sale of your name to us; they are a referral to a booking site. If you want a message deleted, use Inquire.

How long we keep it

Contact messages: as long as the thread is active, then up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete sooner or we must keep it. Server logs: according to the host’s default rotation, typically weeks to a few months.

Who else sees it

The host, Oderland, processes the site and its logs. The email provider on our business domain processes Inquire mail. Affiliate partners process data if you follow a booking link. We do not hand the contact form to advertisers.

Children

The guide is written for adults planning trips. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of the page.
